Only measurable things can be improved

It is commonly known that if something in life is measured, like kcal of food, kilometers run, drunk glasses of water, there is an easy way of improving those areas in life.

The same is with habits, coding skills, medicines, training, goals, and projects.

Track everything that can be tracked, simultaneously making it super simple to do in a short time period.

One of the coolest things is to keep all data in one platform, in your desired style. Notion is the best fit for those requirements. You can download or create from scratch the template and note anything.

How to manage a small amount of time for tracking?

It is easy, I am testing the psychological aspect of that. Easy example, my template automatically adds performed habits and I have to uncheck if something is not done. When I do everything assumed, I do not have to track it. If something is skipped, I have to change it directly on notion or through automation. Isn’t it the better way?

Second brain update

After the first edition of the AI devs course which I attended, there was a tutorial on releasing the AI assistant. However, personally, I wanted to build something more suitable for my own purposes and  I have started to do the AI-powered second brain.

Plan, for now, is to release a desktop app in Tauri and a mobile app in react native.

App should be easy to use and handle simple stuff. Everything will be based on:

  • Notion as a UI of the noting system,
  • portable as a relative database,
  • pinecone as a vector database,
  • Make.com as an automation platform,
  • chatGPT API as an AI.

It will be the core of AI support. However, also some other tools can be shown for custom queries.

💪 Huberman fitness protocol

Many times in social media, Andrew Huberman and his podcast. The content he is sharing with an audience is extremely valuable and life-changing.

This week I have discovered his Fitness Protocol, in which he shows the workout routine. This routine is based on the latest research and cares about strength and endurance.

Foundational Fitness Protocol
This foundational fitness protocol is designed to be modified to meet your individual needs, while still adhering to what the best science tells us we should all do for immediate and long-term health.

I am testing this routine and will share soon about the results soon.

📕 Book of the week

Rich dad, poor dad - Robert Kiyosaki

One of the best books about financing education. Really valuable, especially for young people.

The author describes two different approaches:

  • poor dad’s approach (man who is educated, graduated from the university, has a great government job, but also has financial problems)
  • Rich Dad (the man who did not complete every step of the education system, but he is running a few businesses)

After reading this book, I have the feeling that sometimes a book can literally suit the correct time in life, and this book does it very well.

Highly recommended.

No podcasts, No music, No distractions

It is the minimal dopamine detox I have started to perform. After listening to Huberman's podcast episode about that, I made a decision that it would improve my personal and work life. After three days of such a declaration, I see great results in increased focus time, motivation to create something more, and code.

Thank you for reading and till the next time 👋
